Scotch with or without water? - halfflash - 10-25-2012 Title says it all. Do you drink your scotch with a little water to "open it up." Or are you neat all the way to the last drop? I'm neat all day long. RE: Scotch with or without water? - Ari - 10-25-2012 I like mine chiled, but I have never like it watered down impairing the flavor (i.e. opening it up). I have have seen some soapstone cube sets for this purpose, you chill them and put them in the glass, one of these days I may get around to ordering them off amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Sipping-Stones-Chilling-Carrying-Soapstone/dp/B005D78RPU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351209834&sr=8-1&keywords=soapstone+cube RE: Scotch with or without water? - NickDrista - 10-25-2012 One oversized ice cube splash of water. Drinking one right now RE: Scotch with or without water? - halfflash - 10-25-2012 I've seen those stones that get chilled. I usually have mine at room temp. Nick, I'd love one right now. But I have to wait a few more hours. Why is it so looked down on to drink at work anyway?? RE: Scotch with or without water? - Guarantee - 10-25-2012 Neat, want the full flavor. Hate to water down good scotch. RE: Scotch with or without water? - Jimmie the Mum - 10-25-2012 Water on the side for the Mum. RE: Scotch with or without water? - AF_Mac - 10-25-2012 2 cubes of ice some times. most of the time I take it neat. RE: Scotch with or without water? - Tonto - 10-25-2012 Where's Parkster for this one? RE: Scotch with or without water? - Ari - 10-25-2012 He can tell us we are all wrong. Parkster, gotta pick on you a little bit, brother. (10-25-2012, 07:27 PM)Tonto Wrote: Where's Parkster for this one? RE: Scotch with or without water? - Mark - 10-25-2012 I like to drink it neat with water on the side and then add a splash of water half way through to see how it changes and opens up. |
