I currently have a Zino double blade but if I smoke anything bigger then a 50 ring guage it can't cut it. What do you suggest? How about a Xikar?

I think most of the guys here use a Xikar.  I really love mine and use it all the time.

Thanks. Is there any difference with the blades between the Xi, Xi2, or Xi3?

- Mark - 07-31-2006

All of the blades are the same.  The only difference is the housing,  the

Xi is metal

Xi2 is fiberglass

Xi3 is metal & wood.

Just saw this.. I used to be a Xikar fan, but Ive only had mine for a few months, and its already dull and the spring is broken inside.  Yes, Im going to send it to Xikar for repair, but I've also bought a Palio cutter, and this thing cuts better than my Xikar did when it was new.  I would suggest buying one of those.

Xikar are really cool with warranty claims, they repaired my Xi3 wooden handle and sent me an Xi3 titanium as a good will gesture when I inquired about trading it back for the titanium.

They like feedback from customers to allow them to improve their product. I cant fault them in any way with how they dealt with me.

1st class people.

Well, I saw a really good deal on a Xi3 Spectra and jumped. I seems like a really nice cutter.(The color is a little gay.Big Grin) I have had my Zino for about 8 years and it is still very sharp. I just like the Xi 54 size compared to the 48 Zino.
