A special shout out to Smokin Nic for this fine leaf. Thanks bro.
I've been keeping this dark and mysterious beauty laying low for a few months. It beckons me every time I crack the lid, and I finally answered the call. I'd easily rate it my 2nd favorite smoke of the year. An especially fine Monte #2 holds that honor.
Pre-lit draw had a nice toasty tobacco flavor with a good draw. I set fire to it and immediately was met with nice floral notes and a thick smoke. Nothing seemed to give away how young this cigar probably was. Smooth and thick the strength picked up throughout the 2nd third but the last third it seemed to mellow out again.
Potential greatness.
Score it a 91.
