Hello Dave,

I'm not sure who is the bad apple and hate to see you leave. I will say that using all caps when posting on a discussion forum is not really proper. Being the "new guy" here and using all caps on your cigar review was unfortunate. Your other posts were just fine, but using all caps is like walking into a room of people and shouting out the review.

So you made a mistake and a few members called you on it. Actually it came across more of a joke. Cutting the CAP off a cigar is quite a funny pun versus name calling and finger pointing over using all caps in a post. If you are that sensitive to a little criticism over your post then perhaps being a member of an online community is going to work out in the long run. We are surely one of the nicest cigar forums on the net with a pretty laid back atmosphere. I can say for fact that if you posted in all caps on just about any other forum you would need much thicker skin to tolerate the bashing.

Brother Dave,

I, too, hope that you will stick around and get involved. Your reviews are appreciated, and the guys here are very welcoming. It does take some gettin' used to being in an online environment. God knows I have had my hand slapped once or twice. The "use a cutter on the caps" was definitely meant as a harmless joke. Also, I posted a link under your initial welcome thread to another thread about who on here are also Masons. Hope you check it out.

Cheers,

Doug

Hey brother hope you stick around. I enjoyed reading your reviews. We have all made little mistakes and gotten our hands slapped about them. Give it some time sit back and observe the forum for a bit and you will see we are all a good group of guys here and hopefully that will persuade you to get involved again.

Guys, I am the one he has an issue with. He sent me a message that confirms this. I won't get into the details but I am certain that I am the "bad apple" he is referring to. I am not going to apologize, I was just trying to point out that all caps were difficult to read.

I have been on this forum for 4 years and to date this is the only time anyone has had an issue with something that I have posted (to my knowledge). I have met many of you and have become friends with many of you. I ain't going anywhere, so if violin33 has an issue with me maybe he should go elsewhere. I could really care less either way. I am not going to lose any sleep over a member on this site that has 6 posts.
