cigar enigma...
#1
Ok, so I was at my local shop, looking at bundles, and they have a bundle of La Finca Bolivares (7.5x50)-  Price before sales tax, about $34.00.  I get a 5% discount on top of that, but lets not count that right now.  So, figure 8% sales tax, total for a bundle, I would be looking at about $36.00 or so.. roughly.. Maybe less.  Remember, this is California.

Ok, so I go to lynn cigars to see what their price is on a bundle, so I go here:
http://lynncigars.com/CigarListTable.htm#lafinca

and see that the same cigar runs about $44.00 for the bundle BEFORE shipping.  I don't understand this. Confusedhock:  California is notorious for high prices on ALL cigars... Looks like I get to support my local shop when it comes time to buy that La Finca bundle!

Just thought this was stupidly interesting.

GITERDONE Scott. Good find. Your gonna fill that humi quick.
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

Backstory:
Most of you know I started smoking cigars back in college, where my best friend and roommate eased me into it with handouts from the local liquor store and Thompson bundle deals.

Upon graduation, I was gifted my very first box of cigars that I could call my own.
La Finca robustos.
There will always be a place in my heart for the La Finca.

La Finca is not a bad little smoke, if you take it for what it is....it's a mild value cigar with a pleasant taste.

IMO La Finca = La Stinka. Smoke what you like and like what you smoke.[rob]

Serveral years ago one of the B&Ms here was closing out a La Finca deal and I jumped. It was a 150 stick humidor with 100 La Fincas in it for $100. The La Fincas were of different sizes and such. It took several years but my Dad and I worked through them. They are mild and not too bad. They had some darker ones in there and they were a little stronger. It was worth it just for the humidor.

Sounds like a good deal Scott.
