DING!
That is a good first cigar.
Know this, cigars make you salivate... Old timers used to spit (then again, if I smoked the garbage they smoked I'd spit too). Today's high-end cigars are free of impurities and therefore are less apt to make you sick. Just do not get anything flavored. A flavor is an impurity. It's an unnatural array of chemicals.
The only chemical your cigar should be delivering is nicotine. It's a legal drug.
Smoke easily, do not rush it. Smoke in a well ventilated area, no driving (you are apt to get a little dizzy-but this goes away in a few minutes). Have your favorite soft drink near by. Coke works wonders for settling your stomach. And try to keep the cigar lit. If it goes out and you have to re lite it, it will taste & smell nasty until the temperature comes back up.
In short, I'm betting you will not get sick at all. But you should, by all means, trash that stick you bought and get yourself a hand made quality cigar. Some of the "drug-store brands" have all sorts of unwanted fillers. Dutchmaster used to use cheese cloth in their cigars to hold the shopped bits of cheap tobacco in there.
