I used to smoke in the garage until I found that smoke was permeating everything, so now it is in the back or in the new house on a covered front porch. I have a propane two-eye heater that works well. I've also sat out with a blaket over my legs and a small electric heater under the blanket. With the blanket reaching the ground, it is like a small heated tent under there.

Here's another option as well Jan. This one's cheaper, and the windows can be opened & closed.
