Size: 7 x 38
Shape: Long Panatela
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Nice leathery looking wrapper with a rich chestnut color. excellent construction. This cigar sports a deep chocolatey smell, with a similar prelight draw.
The draw is clean and unobstructed. I used a 9 mm punch for this guy and almost had to stop and think it over, a 7 mm might work better as a cutter would definitely make the opening too wide.
The smoke is a medium density bluish one, that is not of the long lingering kind. the ash is a nice white to very light gray ash. The flavors in this cigar are simple. Some cedar, some hints of spice, and corriander and an earthy nuttiness. They don't evolve much more than that, making it somewhat one dimensional, and this is not meant as a negative in any way. Though this cigar carries some nice flavors, it never quite develops like the other cigars in the series.
Overall this is a nice cigar not overly complex an easey smoke for those who are starting out or are looking to get an introduction to the Oliva line.
