So thanks to Nayslayer the litter has done the trick. Took a bit of time to level out and now my humi stays between 67 and 70% Smells like Victory.

I have had both and I love the beads better for sure.
The kitty litter never really maintained humidity but the beads did, they worked well but too damn well. In my humi I put them in for two days and take em out for the remainder of the week.
Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.
