I'm looking for a source for Vex Robotics parts.
Both of my boys are into them through school. My younger son is even going into a tech research contest. The teacher/adviser is an asshole, (at back to school night, he even mentioned how he sabotages the kids projects, right before a competition...in order to make them think harder) so I'm trying to help. The parts provided by the teacher are just some cheap wood.
I don't have the budget for Vex parts, so I'm looking for lower cost knock offs...specifically for the chassis/structure. I'm looking for aluminum plates, bars, angles & C-channels...like these on the Vex site: http://www.vexrobotics.com/vexedr/products/accessories/structure/aluminum-kits.html
It is allowable to use non-Vex parts for the science research competitions, so it's not an issue....just a cost issue for me.
The longest length needed would be around 25"
So...any ideas? web-sites?
Thanks!
