Within the JW lineup (and I've been a JW drinker for a loooooooong time, although I love a good singlemalt as well) I actually prefer the Gold Label to the Blue. More flavorful imho.

Lately I've been drinking bourbon more, though. Woodford's Reserve. Damn, that's good stuff.

I would agree.....a nice single malt like Glenkinchie or Bowman's goes well with a smoke.  Don't tell any of the Pom's that I said this but the ale's they make go down nicely with a smoke as well....particularly in the winter time.

I tend to agree with most, JWBlue is not even close to worth what it costs..It's a blended scotch for 1....sorry to burst your bubble, but I'll take a Laphroaig cask strength over any JW any day of the week.

My tastes agree, Wookie.  I've never been able to get into JW of any kind.
