4 hours to go and it's at $81. It makes Behikes seem much more reasonable.

I really dont understand.....
Quote:Winning Bid: $119.00 The MSRP was $43.18. Which if I understand correctly, if you called up the main shop, and ordered them specifically, they would cost you $43.18, plus any taxes and shipping. So for example, here in PA, the tax on this would be $2.59. And as a rule, the shipping to my place here, from this site is $6.00. So, lets add that all up: 43.18+2.59+6.00= $51.77. Why would you [meaning anyone who is bidding on any particular item], bid an item up to $119.00, that can be purchased for $43.18? Peace....
...moving along...nothing left to see here.

I have a box of pre-embargo certified 100% cuban cigars. Seriously.
Certificate of authenticity included. I would expect to get at least that much should I decide to sell any of them.

I personally wouldnt pay that much for a fifty two plus year old cigar. And the conspiracy theorist inside me screamed.... "Why would a pre-embargo box of cigars, need a certificate of authenticity?"

Seriously. first, the cigars are not 50+ y/o. The tobacco was discovered during a warehouse purchase. The bails were labeled with the date and country of origin. Second, isn't having a certificate certifying that 100% of the tobacco in that cigar is in fact 100% pre-embargo (& therefore legal) Cuban tobacco better than not having it? But, if your point is, why would a cigar rolled before the embargo even have such a certificate, then I refer you to point #1. These cigars were rolled shortly before I bought them around 18 years ago. the tobacco is pre-embargo. Discovered in Miami. I think LZ6 said it was the best cigar he ever had in his life. Now that's a weighty statement!
