I learned my lesson a long time ago. Never lend money to anyone. Unless you are fine never seeing them again. Then it may be a good investment.

Kids killing kids with no remorse! I tried to raise my kids with the same standards that I was raised with. My wife (who is 6 years younger than me) was not as supportive as she should have been, and as a result there have been huge monstrous fights in my house. My kids know the difference between right and wrong but most of the time, just dont care about how their actions are going to affect others, and do what they want. I hope, desperately, that when they get "out there" in the world, those things I have tried to instill into them kind of take over and they are good fair people in the dealings of their lives.

It was a constant war here too. Our only job is to teach them to be productive adults, and we can't fail. I had to always be the ass to compensate her giving him everything he wanted. She grew up in a POOR farm comunity in Ga and had nothing so she thinks he deserves everything. What's wrong with that pic? It's been a family splitting battle
.
We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered. |
