Bombed by the Maker of Bomb Material...

It had been a pretty dismal week until I checked my mail on Thursday...
In was a package from Martinez Cigars of NYC... I had emailed Jesus Martinez a few weeks ago about the possibilities of his Double Black Diamond line being ready by the Holidays. He had told me that he had some samples ready, but the main line wouldn't be ready to ship due to aging till next summer, along with his Passion line as well... He mentioned he would drop me a couple of sticks in a few weeks... He is a Man of His Word... [thumbsup]





 



He sent samples of the Martinez Double Black Diamond, Flat Iron, Escogidos, Passion, and NYC lines...  I've had the DBD & Passion before, and look forward to trying the others...

Sorry to hear your week has sucked so bad, Keep in mind, if you just need to vent, or meet up for a smoke to relax, feel free to call brother.  Let me know how those double black daimonds smoke, you've been telling me about them, guess I'll have to pull the trigger soon enough.

The DBD is definitely a full bodied stick... It reminds me a lot of the V Maddie taste wise (IIRC, will have to try this one and let you know for sure )... It's not going to be available till sometime next year. But you guys in the NYC area should stop by his store/factory and check things out. He just may hand you a sample ... Great Guy who was more than happy to send a bunch of sticks for a herf we had a few months ago... There was a write up about Martinez Cigars in Cigar magazine earlier this year...
