About the lighters, my favorite is the Royal Triple Flame. It has a great flame when turned up! We just ran out of black but should have them back in soon. I don't know how well they will do where you are but mine has not failed yet, and they are stylish.
The best lighter for the value is the new Jet Line though. Large see through tank, continuous flame lock feature, and the flame is not tiny. One year warranty too.
