Band on or Band off?

I slide the band off, immediately, before lighting every cigar. Been doing it so long now, the wrapper is always in safe hands. I save my bands, too; and like them in that ring shape. Also, I like to look at the entire cigar while smoking it.

I leave it on untill the burn  is about a 1/4" away,at that time the glue has softened and it peels right off.BUT in England it is tacky to smoke a cigar with the lable on,they proudly display it in the ash tray.(so I have read)
