Okay, Back from the lunch"meeting". Over all I am pretty impressed with these. They need a little Humi time and they should really be good as far as burn time.
Opening them up, had a nice earthy smell to them and the wrapper was pretty smooth over all. inital toasting is when I noticed they were a liittle dry from shipping and being cold. The dark wrapper is misleading as the taste and smoke is mellow with no peppery harshnes to it. the wrapper did start to come off a bit about half way up. I chalk it up to just being shipped and cold and the humi ought to take care of that situation. Like I said in my inital Post, For 3 bucks a stick, from RP you really can't go wrong. Guess I am gonna have to try the rest of the Legends line crom CI. |

I bought the legends sampler a year ago and have smoked through them and think almost every single one of them were made with table scraps (short fill). Very thin wrappers that crack at the hint of a climate change (ie taking them out of the humi). Two exceptions: Camacho and Drew Estate. Both actually had good construction. Drew Estate's offering was flavored, not something I'm interested in, but still well constructed. Camacho had good construction, descent peppery stick, but still a far cry from a near priced Camacho Corojo.
Not trying to sway anyone from trying them, just my humble opinion. I would always be leary of anything made exclusively for a major online retailer. |

I picked up a box of the Patel and Perdomo. Both were ok but 6 months in the humi made a big difference. I picked up another box of each to stash because Ive just about gone through both of first boxes I got. Its all about what you like and the price is right IMO.
