A poem...of sorts....
#1
My mom was out at one of the places she spends time at, being a retired person, and they have a recycled books, table. While perusing the table for something new to read, she saw a new book there, called The Good Cigar. She picked it up and yes, it is a publication about cigars. So knowing my interest in this hobby/obsession, she picked it up and brought it to my place, for me to take a look at.
After thanking her, and started flipping through the book to get a feel for: can I take this to work to read, should I take it to the bathroom, in the living room, on the nightstand in the bedroom, out by my computer....(these places give me different levels of possible concentration, so I was trying to get a feel for where to spend time reading it)....and I come across a small piece of paper, with some handwritten stuff on it. After working hard at decoding the almost illegible penmanship, I found the following....

Oh, their lives are sweet but all too brief,
and death doth their sweetness mar;

But fragrance fine is forever thine,
my well-beloved cigar!

(anon)

I just thought I'd share that.

Back to work....Smile
...moving along...nothing left to see here.

"Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace."

Great mom.
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.
